The impact of Tron mania
Not yet released everywhere across the globe, the sequel to "Tron" has caused a sensation at the American box office. And as a result it is in the land of Uncle Sam that the first effects of what has already become known as "Tron mania" have been most felt. The interest in "Tron: Legacy" has obviously had a direct impact on "Tron: Evolution", the action adventure video game adapted from the film.An offer made to American gamers allowed them to pre-order an Xbox 360 controller with a design inspired by the "Tron" universe. This magnificent model encrusted with orange lights was offered as a limited edition of 250 units on the website of the manufacturer Performance Design Products. Sold for 50 dollars, the "Xbox 360 Limited Edition Tron Controller" has already sold out.
Let's hope that for "Tron" fans the offer will be repeated when the game is released in other regions!
A Film About the Madden Curse
The movie is going to be called the "Madden Curse" and it will be about a former Madden game champ who is featured on the video game's cover. He is forced to come out of retirement and is hit by the Madden curse. Madden also has a reality show on TV, "Madden Nation", about the lives of football stars and Pat O'Brien, VP at EA Entertainment is going to be one of the producers of the film.
Wii 2, not straight away
In spite of this, a new version that includes HD will not be available on the market in 2011. This is what Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime stated before adding: "As we sit here today we're saying the Wii has many, many more units to sell. After we've reached an installed base of 45 million here in the US, we can have a conversation about the next generation." In any event, with the launch of the 3DS Nintendo has enough on its plate over the next few months!
A teaser for Sly 4
The most assiduous gamers who were able to carry off the 3 trophies in the compilation had a pleasant surprise at the end of their adventures. A special video appeared. And, in fact, it was a teaser announcing a 4th instalment devoted to the raccoon Sly! Even if no official announcement has been made to confirm its development, nevertheless we cannot image that the publisher Sony would give this kind of false hope.
The Del Toro game: it's official!
The game will be entitled "inSane" and will take place in an ambience akin to a horror film. If all goes to plan, it should finally see the light of day in 2013. Guillermo del Toro has wisely decided not to rush things. Too bad for those of us who may feel frustrated by the long wait! The title will be developed by Volition ("Saints Row", "The Punisher", "Red Faction"). It is planned to be the first instalment of a trilogy.
